Position Summary

We're seeking a Business Development Manager focused on the US Central and Western regions to drive strategic growth as an individual contributor. In this role, you'll identify and cultivate qualified opportunities, develop regional market strategies, and build a robust pipeline that contributes directly to our company's expansion goals. This position combines the strategic thinking of a BDM with the hands-on prospecting excellence of a Senior SDR.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute targeted outreach strategies for merchants in the US Central and Western regions
  • Identify and qualify high-potential prospects through research, networking, and direct engagement
  • Conduct discovery calls to uncover pain points around chargebacks and payment disputes
  • Create compelling value propositions tailored to specific verticals and regional markets
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers across mid-market and enterprise accounts
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to facilitate smooth handoffs and ensure deal progression
  • Analyze regional market trends to identify new growth opportunities
  • Develop territory-specific strategies to maximize penetration in assigned regions
  • Maintain detailed documentation of prospect interactions in CRM systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years of progressive sales development or business development experience
  • Demonstrated success exceeding quota in previous roles
  • Strong understanding of consultative selling and solution-based approaches
  • Exceptional communication 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing to team goals
  • Strong organizational capabilities with meticulous attention to detail
  • Deep understanding of the sales process from prospecting to qualification
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn about the payments ecosystem and merchant challenges
