Cause
The merchant failed to give the cardholder a copy of the signed receipt.
The signature on the receipt is either not prominent or invisible due to fading, colored or ribbed paper, or light ink.
The original receipt is scanned in a small size.
Response
Cardholders and issuers have 120 days to file a dispute related to the claim against the merchant.
Merchants have 20 days to respond to the claim in dispute.
Steps to Prevention
Keep machines with full toner or ink.
Make copies or scans of order receipts in their actual sizes.
