Claim

The issuer requested you to cancel a subscription bill, but you continued to process it, or a chargeback for a past recurring transaction was filed.

Cause

The merchant didn’t cancel the recurrent bill.

Response

Cardholders and issuers have 120 days to file a dispute related to the claim against the merchant.

Merchants have 45 days to respond to the claim in dispute.

Steps to Prevention

  • Cancel future transactions for the cardholder after filing a chargeback.
  • Process cancellation and non-renewal requests fast.
