Finding Silver in Las Vegas: What This Award Says About the Future of Disputes

justt wins silver for AI & Automation in payments at the 2026 money awards

Justt took home the Silver Prize for AI & Automation in Payments at The Money Awards 2026 in a ceremony that took place October 18 at the Money20/20 USA show in Las Vegas. Awards can be fleeting things, but this one deserves to be remembered because it says something about where our industry is headed.

Who was in the room

The Money Awards are only in their second year, but the jury carried real weight: senior leaders from banks, payments companies, and investment firms around the world. The finalists ranged from young, fast-growing startups to some of the largest financial institutions anywhere. All of them were competing in a category that covers every AI application in payments.

So when a chargeback platform lands on that podium, it isn’t only about Justt. It shows that dispute management now sits among the AI use cases in payments that matter most. When we started the company, I’m not sure many people would have said that.

The problem we set out to solve

Over the past decade, almost every part of the payment journey has been rebuilt. Money moves in real time, across borders, with smart fraud screening at every step. Disputes, however, got left behind. The way most chargebacks are still handled would look familiar to someone working decades ago: static rules, manual paperwork, and a lot of human effort for an uncertain result.

Each dispute needs its own evidence package. That package has to follow the specific rules of the card network and be filed before a hard deadline. Multiply that by hundreds and thousands of cases a month and the math stops working. Many merchants end up making a quiet, expensive choice: they let the losses go, because fighting each case costs more effort than they can afford.

Justt was built on a different premise. A chargeback isn’t a paperwork chore. It’s a question that can be answered with data, and finding patterns in large, messy, fast-changing data is exactly what AI is good at. That idea has guided every product decision we’ve made since 2020.

What that looks like in practice

Our Dynamic Arguments technology builds tailored evidence for each individual case instead of filling in a generic template. Underneath that, our machine learning models run constant A/B tests on how submissions are built, so the platform keeps learning what wins. They also predict which disputes are worth contesting at all, so merchants don’t waste effort on cases they can’t win.

This year we took another step by putting NVIDIA Nemotron Parse into live production for document extraction. The result was a 25% drop in extraction errors. That’s the kind of improvement that compounds when you’re processing evidence at scale.

Today, more than 250 global enterprise merchants and 80,000 SMBs rely on Justt to protect revenue they’ve already earned.

A year of momentum

The Money Awards cap what has been a remarkable 2026 for us. In April, Justt became the first chargeback and dispute management company ever named to the Forbes Fintech 50. Two major recognitions in one year, from two very different juries, point to the same conclusion: the market is ready to treat disputes as core payments infrastructure, not an afterthought handled in the back office.

That shift matters for merchants. The businesses that automate their dispute operations now will be the ones recovering revenue that their competitors are still writing off.

Thank you, and what comes next

I want to thank the Justt team, whose work across New York, London, Tel Aviv and Tampa is what the jury was actually recognizing. I also want to thank our customers and partners, who trusted us to change a process that had gone unquestioned for far too long.

We’re not slowing down. On November 9-10, we’ll host the second annual ChargebackX, with speakers from Visa, Mastercard, Worldpay, and leading merchants. There, we’ll share findings from our multiyear benchmark study covering millions of disputes, the most detailed look we’ve ever published at what actually drives chargeback outcomes.

AI is moving into every stage of the dispute lifecycle, and Justt intends to keep leading the way. Silver in Las Vegas is a milestone worth celebrating. I expect 2027 to bring even more recognition for the category we helped power into the AI era.
