ChargebackX 2026: We’re Back, and This Time, We’re Bringing It to New York and Berlin

Last year, we took a bet. We thought the people who spend their careers fighting chargebacks deserved a room of their own — not a side-track buried inside a bigger payments conference, but an event built entirely around disputes, fraud prevention, and the operational grind of winning back revenue. We called it ChargebackX, and honestly, we didn’t know exactly what to expect.

What we got back was one of the most energizing responses I’ve seen from this industry. Practitioners from Visa, Mastercard, JPMorgan, Worldpay, and Microsoft, as well as other brands, showed up and talked shop in a way I rarely see at the bigger industry events, where disputes get maybe fifteen minutes on an agenda dominated by everything else in payments. We had close to 1,000 sign-ups and hundreds of actual attendees during the actual event. It confirmed something I already believed: this community was underserved, and it was hungry to compare notes.

So we’re doing it again, but bigger.

Mark your calendars for November 9-10. ChargebackX returns for its second year with a full two-day virtual program open to anyone, anywhere, plus in-person evening networking events in New York and Berlin. We wanted to keep the accessibility that made last year work while giving people who want face time with peers a chance to get it.

What's on the Agenda

We’re picking up right where last year left off, but the landscape has moved fast, and the sessions reflect that. Expect deep dives on:

  • Card network monitoring overhauls — how teams are adapting to Visa’s VAMP and Mastercard’s GMAP, and what’s still catching people off guard
  • Agentic commerce — what happens to dispute management when AI agents start making purchasing decisions on behalf of consumers
  • AI inside dispute operations — not the hype version, but what’s actually working inside real fraud and risk teams today
  • Merchant case studies with live Q&A — because the best insights in this industry usually come from someone who’s already made the mistake you’re about to make

We’ll also be sharing a first look at findings from our multiyear benchmark study of chargeback outcomes, built from millions of disputes. It’s some of the most comprehensive data we’ve ever pulled together on what actually moves win rates, and I’m looking forward to putting it in front of this audience first.

Why ChargebackX 2026 Matters

Disputes sit at an uncomfortable intersection — part payments, part fraud, part customer experience — and the people who manage them rarely get to be the main event anywhere. That’s the gap ChargebackX exists to close. This isn’t a vendor showcase dressed up as a conference. It’s a working session for people who fight disputes for a living, built by a team that does the same thing every day.

Speakers this year will again include leaders from Visa, Mastercard, Worldpay, Best Buy, SeatGeek, and more, with additional names and full agenda details coming in the weeks ahead.

To quote the music great Leonard Cohen, for ChargebackX 2026, first we take Manhattan and then we take Berlin! Registration is open now at chargebackx.io. Whether you’re joining virtually or catching us in person in New York or Berlin, I hope to see you there.
